The Story Behind the Painting:  Ever since my mother taught me as a child to draw a woman’s profile, I’ve loved drawing ‘pretty ladies’. I drew so many women and girls from magazines and sewing pattern catalogs as a young teen. It’s how I taught myself to draw. I love figure drawing so much that I became an illustrator to explore that interest. “Marge" carries my love and warmth toward depicting faces and figures of all kinds, and speaks to a moment in time in everyday life.
